A Challenge with Purpose
On March 7, 2026, join us for Operation Eagles Row — a 24-hour rowing challenge presented by the Talons Reach Foundation, honoring the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s Special Operations warriors.
On March 8th, 2020, U.S. Marine Raiders Major Moises Navas and Gunnery Sergeant Diego Pongo made the ultimate sacrifice during a cave clearance mission in Northern Iraq. Their bravery, and that of all who have served beside them, continues to inspire us to push beyond limits.
For Chad Passantino, an adaptive athlete, this challenge is deeply personal. Through resilience and grit, Chad has turned his physical trials into a mission to support veterans facing their own battles—both visible and unseen.
- In 2024, he completed his first 24-hour row, covering 206,000 meters in 27 hours with one leg driving every stroke.
- In 2025, he completed his second 24-hour row, rowing 233,386 meters in 29 hours.
- So far he has rowed 10,000 meters or more for 467 days, totaling over 6 million meters to date.
- Now, in 2026, he takes on his third consecutive 24-hour row—each pull on the handle a tribute to our fallen heroes and their enduring legacies.
This is more than endurance. It’s remembrance. It’s purpose. It’s a call to action.
